7-11-13 fdl county jail inmate overdoses on heroin

The Fond du Lac County Jail Captain says an inmate is fortunate to be alive after overdosing on heroin in his jail cell.  Captain Kevin Galske says 25 year old Brian Klemme of Sheboygan was transported to the jail after he was arrested for owi.  Galske says a strip search didn't find anything, but says it turns out Klemme hid the heroin in a body cavity.  "He was in a camera cell on what we call a 15 minute check where we check on the inmate every 15 minutes,"  Galske told WFDL news.  "He was pretty secretive when he was removing the item from his anus and then overdosed when he was in the cell."  Galske says Klemme was barely breathing and turning purple when he was found by jail staff.  Klemme remains in the jail on $25,000 cash bond.
