A Ripon man is credited with saving the life of a
motorcyclist after the Oshkosh man crashed his motorcycle on a set of railroad
tracks in Oshkosh over the weekend.
Oshkosh police say on Saturday afternoon a 34 year old Oshkosh
man was speeding on Broad Street when he failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed. The man landed on the railroad tracks in the path of an oncoming train. Police say a 24 year old Ripon man who was stopped for the train saw the crash and pulled
the unconscious motorcyclist off the tracks with the train just 20 feet
away. The motorcycle operator was transported to the hospital with non
life-threatening injuries.
