The National Weather Service says this week’s heat wave will
come to an end with a good chance of severe weather heading into the
weekend. National Weather Service meteorologist Sarah Marquardt says
a cold front will be moving south Friday afternoon and evening with
the conditions
setting up for a good chance of severe weather in our
listening area. "We're pretty sure we're going to see severe weather," Marquardt told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program. "We're pretty confident with that." But Marquardt says leading up to Friday residents will
experience the hottest stretch of the summer to date.
