7-22-13 fdl natural gas leak forces neighborhood evacuation

Nobody was injured following a natural gas leak in Fond du lac.  Firefighters were called to the scene at 40 Sunset Circle shortly after 1:30pm Friday.  A construction company was working in the area
when they struck a one inch gas line.  Nearby residents were evacuated for a short period of time until the area was determined to be safe.  Alliant Energy responded and located a feeder line to clamp off the leak.  Alliant remained on the scene to remedy the problem and restore service for residents in the neighborhood.
