A Fond du lac woman has been charged after ten puppies were
revmoved fromher home earlier this month.
Thirty two year old Stacy Checolinski faces ten counts each of neglecting to provide proper drink to
confined animals and failure to provide proper indoor animal shelter
ventilation. The puppies were found in a tarp covered crate in the
backyard of an 8th Street home earlier this month when there was hot and humid weather. Fond du lac Animal Shelter manager Renee Webb says the puppies
are lucky to be alive. Webb says the puppies would have probably died in another
half hour if they hadn’t been rescued. Checolinski is scheduled to make her initial Fond du lac
court appearance July 30th. Meanwhile Webb says the puppies are continuing to
recover at the animal shelter.
