The Wisconsin DNR says with the growing popularity of
paddleboards a safety course is a good idea for beginners and a great
refresher for experienced paddlers.
Conservation warden Todd Schaller says no matter what level of experience all paddlers should wear a life jacket. Schaller says, knock on wood, there have not been any
paddleboard related drownings on Wisconsin waterways. "...and we want to keep it that way," Schaller told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program.
