The president of the Fond du lac County Economic Development
Corporation admits he was a bit surprised to see Fond du lac at number
four on a list of the top ten metro areas in the country for wage growth. The Wall Street Journal report says San Francisco is number one, followed by Vero Beach,
Florida, Midland, Texas and then Fond du lac. FCEDC president Steve Jenkins says it’s a very enthusiastic
indicator that we’re coming out of the recession and seeing growth in the
manufacturing sector. Jenkins describes Fond du lac’s manufacturing sector as
strong and improving.
