7-18-13 wisconsin power and light seeks electric rate increase
Alliant Energy’s Wisconsin Power and Light has filed for an
electric rate increase. Wisconsin
Power and Light is asking for a 1.9 percent increase in retail electric rates for next year due to expected higher electric fuel
costs next year. Alliant spokesman Scott Reigstad says the plan includes a
monthly increase of approximately $1.14 for the typical residential customer. Riegstad says Alliant hopes to use savings from last year to
reduce next year’s increase. If approved the plan would become effective January first.
