7-25-13 capitol police cite protesters
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican Governor Scott Walker's administration says Capitol Police cited nearly two dozen people who gathered in the building's rotunda to sing. Department of Administration spokeswoman Stephanie Marquis says 22 people received citations for not having a permit. Three of the 22 received two citations. One person was also cited for disorderly conduct for allegedly spitting on a singer. The singers have been meeting in the rotunda almost daily for two years to protest Republican policies.
