5-9-14 fdl couple bound over for trial in child abuse case

A Fond du lac couple accused of abusing two children has been bound over for trial.   Forty six year old Jeana Riehl and her husband 46 year old Troy Riehl both waived their preliminary hearings.   Jeana Riehl faces 11 counts of child abuse and neglecting a child.  Troy Riehl is charged with five counts including party to the crime of child neglect and child abuse and failure to prevent child abuse.   According to a criminal complaint Jeana Riehl is accused of  abusing two boys for a period of several years…striking them with a rolling pin,  cutting board, horse whip and hunting arrow, and locking one of the boys in a bathroom for weeks.    According to the complaint, the boy was  allowed to come out for one meal a day.  After approximately a week of  being locked in the bathroom the boy was allowed to be out during the day but had to go back in the bathroom to sleep without blankets or pillows.   The complaint says Troy Riehl was not physical with the boys…but did nothing to protect them.
