Fond du Lac High School’s Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Jeff Bell as the Head Girls’ Basketball Coach and Mark
Ziebell as the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach for the Fond du Lac Cardinals.
Jeff Bell, physical education teacher in the Fond du Lac School
District at Sabish Middle School, most recently served as a varsity assistant coach with the
Omro High School girls’ program. Athletic director Kevin Deering says Ziebell brings 20+ years of teaching and coaching
experience to the Fond du Lac boys basketball program. "Coach Ziebell has tremendous strength in
program development and providing a clear vision for the progression of player
development from 3rd grade through high school," Deering said. Ziebell began his
coaching career in 1994 at Menasha St. Mary’s Central High School returning to
that position after having served as head coach at Green Bay Southwest High
School from 2007 - 2011. While at
Menasha St Mary’s Central he coached the 1998 WISAA state runner-up team and,
in 2004, was selected as the Appleton Post Crescent Coach of the Year.
