5-30-14 waupun teen charged in domestic incident

Bail has been set at $10,000 cash for an 18-year-old Waupun man accused of choking and kicking his 15 year old girlfriend and threatening to punch her if she called police.  Austin Mitchell is charged in Dodge County Circuit Court with strangulation-suffocation, physical abuse of a child, intimidation of a victim and bail jumping.  He is also charged with burglaries in Fond du lac and Dodge counties.  According to a criminal complaint Mitchell became violent after arguing with his girlfriend about his alcohol abuse.  A preliminary hearing is set for June 5.
