5-27-14 auburn lake shooting

On Sunday May 25, 2014 at approximately 4:50pm, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to the West Shore of Auburn Lake, in the area of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, Township of Auburn, for a report of a male subject that was shot in the leg. The 51 year old male subject that was shot is a resident of Auburn Lake and was fishing when he was struck by a small caliber bullet. He was transported to St. Joe’s Hospital in West Bend, treated for a gunshot wound and later released. The public is not at risk and the investigation is continuing.
