5-23-14 holiday travel safety

With the traditional kick off of the summer travel season this holiday weekend, Wisconsin Emergency Management is reminding motorists to drive carefully.   Emergency management spokesman Tod Pritchard
says motorists should be prepared for a lot of traffic on area roads this weekend.  Pritchard says it’s a good idea to plan ahead and don’t forget to have an emergency kit in your car just in case.  Pritchard says never leave a person or pet alone in a parked vehicle…even if the temperatures are onjly in the 70s or 80s.  Most road construction projects across Wisconsin are on hold over the long holiday weekend.
