A West Bend
woman charged with striking and critically injuring a pedestrian with a vehicle
in Beaver Dam and fleeing the scene has pleaded not guilty to charges against
her. 22 year old Stephanie Goltz is
charged with hit and run involving great bodily harm and knowingly operating
while revoked causing great bodily harm in Dodge County Circuit Court. The incident happened in the early morning
hours of January 26th on Madison
Street just south of the Beaver Dam city limits.
Dodge County Sheriff Pat Ninmann says a witness indicated that he and the
victim were walking southbound on Madison
Street , when a dark colored sedan came up behind
them at an estimated 40 to 45 mph and struck the victim. The vehicle did not
stop and left the scene. The 33 year old male victim of Beaver Dam was taken to
the hospital for life threatening injuries. Goltz was allegedly driving her
friend’s vehicle as a designated driver when the incident occurred.
