The North Fond du Lac Fire/EMS has a new device to assist resuscitating patients who are experiencing sudden cardiac
arrest. North Fond du Lc Deputy EMS director, Randy Stutz says on May first the Lucas 2 mechanical CPR device was put into
service on the department’s primary ambulance. Stutz says Lucas 2 is another tool in the arsenal that
studies have shown will help save lives. "This is a mechanical device that does perfect cardio-pulmonary resuscitation," Stutz told WFDL news. "Statistics have shown that the human being, even as good as they're trained, cannot do perfect CPR."
