7-9-13 state budget impact-fdl school district
The Fond du lac School superintendent says the Fond du lac
School District fares okay in the state budget. Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says the Fond du lac School District will receive an estimated 1.7
percent increase in state aid under the budget. "The number is about $694,000," Sebert told WFDL news. "We thought based on the $150 per student number, that we had to come up with about $159,000. You can see with these re-bids that we did with insurance we can actually save approximately $173,000 so we think at this point, and again thse are projections, we think that we're okay." Sebert cautions that an increase in state aid is not a
guarantee that the local tax levy would not go up to balance the budget. Responding to a DPR memo that says half of Wisconsin public
