7-8-13 survivors network of those abused by priests

The state director of the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests says based on the documents that were released last week one would think the  Milwaukee Archdiocese would want to get the matter behind them as soon as possible.  The archdiocese released thousands of pages of documents detailing  child sex assaults by priests and actions taken by the archdiocese in response.
Jonathon Pilmaier says its ironic that efforts to cover up the abuse have only prolonged the scandal and the way to end it is to put everything on the table.  "What they say their intention was, was to protect the church and keep a scandal from happening but they've actually done more to harm the church than I think church leaders have done in the past two thousand years,"  Pilmaier said.  Pilmaier says priests who offended and those who covered up for them need to be held accountable.  Pilmaier made the comments on AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.
