7-3-13 wisconsin woman participates in transcontinental air race
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A University of North Dakota aviation student from Wisconsin and a flight instructor have successfully completed a transcontinental air race for female pilots. The school in Grand Forks, North Dakota says student Amy Warbalow of Minocqua, Wisconsin and instructor Katrina Kugler of Yuma, Arizona finished 18th out of the nearly 50 entrants in the 2,400-mile Air Race Classic.
