An elderly woman was injured when her car smashed into the side of a Fond du lac McDonald’s restaurant this morning. Fond du Lac Fire Department’s Troy Haase says the accident happened at 7:30am at the McDonald’s restaurant on West Johnson Street. Haase says the car sustained minor damage but two windows on the west side of the building were smashed. He says the driver accelerated for an unknown reason and hit the building.
