5-14-14 k9 rony

The Fond du Lac Police Department has a new K9 member.  K9 Rony was introduced to the public Tuesday afternoon.  Officer Charles Beckford and Rony completed their intensive four week training program last Friday and their first regular patrol shift together is Tuesday night.  Rony is a three year old German Shepard, trained as a dual purpose patrol dog. Rony was trained in handler protection, search and rescue and narcotic detection.  Vince and Bekki Kuber funded the $11,500 cost to purchase Rony…the third K9 the Kuber family has donated to the Fond du Lac community.
