A Fond du lac woman has officially been charged in
connection with the death of her husband.
Eve Nance is charged with first degree Intentional homicide and hiding a corpse in the shooting
death of
37 year old Timothy Nance.
Eve Nance’s sister Tina Ewell has been released from jail and is not charged. Fond du Lac police chief Bill Lamb says investigators
believe Eve Nance shot and killed her husband after learning he was having an
affair and intended to divorce her. An autopsy showed that Nance died from two bullet wounds to the head. According to a criminal complaint Eve Nance said her husband approached her in the bathroom of their home at 46 East 10th Street with a firearm, there was a
struggle over a firearm and that the gun
fired twice in rapid succession. According to the complaint Eve Nance carried the body by
herself and placed it in her car, drove to Milwaukee and
dumped the body in a wooded area. After
being directed to a location by Eve Nance, Fond du Lac police were able to locate the
body. Police detective Bill Ledger said the body was unclothed and had a light dusting of snow on it. Eve Nance stated that after she dumped her husband's body she methodically disposed of evidence including the gun she used at a Highway 41 location, shells from the gun at another Highway 41 location, the plastic she used to wrap the body at yet another location and the victim's cell phone in a sewer at still another location, according to the complaint. Nance is expected to make her initial court appearance
Wednesday.
