A Fond du lac man involved in a shootout with police last
month has been bound over for trial.
Shannon Rogler waived his preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court. Rogler is charged with attempted first
degree intentional homicide, burglary, arson and failure to comply with an officer’s attempt to take a person into custody. Police say Rogler set fire to a vacant house on North
Hickory Street and then was involved in a standoff with Fond du Lac police at
his apartment in the Elms Mobile Home park on South Main Street. He surrendered to police after about five hours. Nobody was injured.
