1-30-14 local unemployment rate

Little or no change in the local unemployment rate in December.  The city of Fond du lac’s jobless rate inched up one tenth of a percent to 6.6 percent.  The Fond du Lac County unemployment rate stands

at 5.4 percent…up from 5.3 percent in November.  In Dodge County the December unemployment rate of 6.2 percent was unchanged from the month before. Rates either decreased or remained the same in 27 of Wisconsin’s 32 largest  municipalities from November 2013 to December 2013. Compared to December 2012, rates decreased in all municipalities. December 2013 rates ranged from 3.1 percent in Caledonia to 10.7 percent in Racine.
