1-8-14 cold weather-livestock

Fond du Lac area farmers have been taking extra  precautions caring for livestock this week.  Fond du Lac County Extension Dairy and Livestock agent, Tina Coleman, says the big factor was the windchill.  "These animals can handle a pretty good deal of cold.  What they can't handle well is that windchill factor," Coleman told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program.  Coleman says the cold weather also impacts the equipment on a farm.
