Hundreds of school districts are canceling classes for a
second day this week. Fond du lac
school superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says students should stay home again on Tuesday because of the dangerous
cold. Administrators expect classes to resume on Wednesday. In
addition to classes, all after-school activities are canceled as
well. National Weather Service meteorologist Mark Kavinsky says the last
two days have been the coldest temperatures in nearly two decades. Kavinsky says the good news is temperatures will slowly
moderate the rest of the week. "There is an end in sight," Kavinsky told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program. "It looks like it will start to moderate a little bit. We might actually be above normal by the end of the week."
