Public health officials are crossing their fingers and
hoping there are no serious incidents during this relatively short-lived
cold snap. Fond du Lac County Public Health officer Kim Mueller says so
far there have been no cold-related incidents reported locally. "Not at this time so hopefully everybody is following the recommendations and staying home," Mueller told WFDL news. Mueller says the school districts made the right call to
cancel school during the windchill warning. Mueller says frostbite can occur in a matter of a few
minutes during conditions like this.
