1-16-14 milwaukee woman charged in dodge county burglary spree

A Milwaukee woman has been charged in the burglaries of three Dodge County homes.  30 year old Ashley Pinkert is charged with three counts of burglary.  Pinkert is accused of breaking into the homes in the Towns of Williamstown, Theresa, and Lomira and stealing items that included cash and prescription drugs.  A criminal complaint says during one of the burglaries, the homeowner was working outside and saw a vehicle in his driveway.  The homeowner went inside and caught Pinkert coming out of a bedroom.  Pinkert began a conversation with the owner, like it was an everyday occurrence, saying she was looking for a friend.  The victim was able to write down the vehicle’s license plate number, and Pinkert was later arrested.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 6^th.
