9-18-13 crossbow hunting-part two

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Senate also has approved a bipartisan measure allowing all hunters to use crossbows during bow deer season. Only physically disabled hunters or hunters older than 65 currently are allowed to use crossbows. Supporters argue open crossbow hunting would spare disabled hunters the physical examination needed for a permit and provide an economic boost to the hunting industry. Some bow hunters worry trigger-pull crossbows would taint traditional bow hunting.
