The Fond du Lac County Clerk is expressing concern about a
couple of election law changes under consideration in the state
legislature. Republican senator Mary Lazich is proposing a bill that
would allow poll workers to serve in communities other than where they
reside. Fond du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says in the county having poll workers who
live in the township is valuable because in smaller communities everybody knows
one another. Freiberg says the other change would require people who sign
nomination papers to also write their name under their signature so its
legible.
