A hunter is recovering from buckshot wounds to his upper
torso after he was accidentally shot while hunting in the Horicon Marsh
over the weekend. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department says it received a
call from Aurora Medical Center in Hartford that the man was being
treated in the hospital emergency room. DNR warden Todd Schaller says the incident happened in the state owned portion of the
marsh north of Mayville. Schaller
says the victim was accidentally shot by another member of his hunting party.
