1-7-14 burnt popcorn sets off fire alarm forcing evacuation of state employees
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — An early morning bag of burnt popcorn triggered a fire alarm and forced hundreds of state workers in Madison out into the cold. The GEF 1 building located just a block from the Capitol evacuated around 9:30 a.m.Monday. Many of the employees fled to the warm confines of the Capitol to escape the 40 below wind chills.
