1-17-14 medicaid coverage
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin says she's pleased by Governor Scott Walker's decision to postpone the date when poor residents will lose Medicaid coverage. The state Legislature passed a bill Tuesday that Walker had requested. Some 77,000 residents just about the federal poverty level were scheduled to lose Medicaid coverage this month, but the bill allows them to keep coverage through March 31st if they apply before February 1st.
