9-4-13 health care insurance exchange rates

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's deputy insurance commissioner says health care insurance exchange rate information released by Gov. Scott Walker's administration is just a snapshot and that rates will vary widely based on what subsidies they may qualify for, their age and location and other factors. Health care advocates are questioning the information showing dramatic price increases for insurance plans to be sold through the new marketplace established under the federal health care law. Deputy commissioner Dan Schwartzer says those planning to buy insurance won't have the best information until October when the enrollment period begins.
