9-18-13 registered sex offenders on school grounds

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Registered sex offenders would be required to notify school officials before going onto school grounds under a measure passed by the Wisconsin Legislature. The bill now goes to Gov. Scott Walker. Bill backers say the goal is to give schools information about the presence of sex offenders that they don't now get. Exceptions are allowed for people who have children attending the school or are there to vote or participate in other non-school events.
