9-17-13 washington county fire damages home

A Village of Richfield fire caused an estimated $200,000 damage to a home and contents on Saturday morning. The fire on Friess Lake Road was reported to authorities at 8:25 am. The Washington County Sheriff’s Department says one of the homeowners sustained minor burns to both arms as he attempted to extinguish the fire. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.   The cause of the fire is still undetermined and is under investigation.
