The Wisconsin Supreme Court has agreed to hear two Fond du
Lac County cases.
Attorneys for Travis Seaton and Nancy Pinno argue their client’s constitutional rights were violated when Fond
du Lac Judge Richard Nuss ordered members of the public removed
from the courtroom during jury selection. The state argues they waived their right to complain when attorneys did not
object
to the judge’s order at trial. Pinno was convicted of helping her son cover up the murder
of his girlfriend. Seaton was convicted of killing a Fond du Lac man when he
punched him, and the victim fell and struck his head on the sidewalk in
downtown Fond du lac.
