11-14-13 bomb threat suspect arrested

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the rash of bomb threats in Waupun and other area communities. Waupun police chief Dale Heeringa tells WFDL news the suspect was arrested Wednesday night.  Heeringa says the suspect is a 31 year old Markesan man.   Authorities say the suspect is a registered sex offender.    Heeringa says the suspect has admitted to most of the 11 bomb threats that were made in Waupun and other area communities.  The state Department of Criminal Investigation assisted Waupun police in the investigation.  Police obtained a search warrant to examine phone records of a person of interest and later took that individual into custody.
