11-20-13 waupun city administrator may challenge incumbent mayor next spring

It appears there may be a race for Waupun mayor…but the potential challenger is a big surprise.  Waupun city administrator Kyle Clark has filed  declaration of candidacy papers with the city clerk’s office to run against incumbent mayor Jodi Steger.  "I want to continue to be engaged in the community.  I've been involved in some great developments, great projects over the past three years and so I'd like to continue as the mayor of the city of Waupun,"  Clark told WFDL news.  Clark says if he wins he would retire as city administrator.  Steger has also filed her papers to run for re-election.  Candidates may circulate their nomination papers starting on December 1^st.   In addition to the mayor’s office, three aldermanic seats are up for re-election in April.
