11-15-13 sheriff's deputy suspended for losing assault rifle
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (AP) — A central Wisconsin sheriff's deputy who lost an AR-15 assault rifle that was later returned faces a brief suspension. Wood County sheriff's Chief Deputy Randal Dorhorst says the deputy will serve a 12-hour suspension effective immediately. The deputy forgot to put the gun in his vehicle yesterday and drove off with it still on the trunk.
