11-19-13 aids fight-donation

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Wisconsin man has made what could be the largest single donation in the fight against AIDS in state history. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the $1 million donation came from retired landscape architect Will Radler. Radler made a fortune after breeding and introducing the Knock Out rose, a fungus-resistant variety that blooms throughout the season. Steve Hutton, of Star Roses and Plants/Conard-Pyle in West Grove, Pa., calls the rose the "iPhone of horticulture."
