11-13-13 pedal pubs

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Legislature has endorsed pedal pubs, or multiple-person bicycles that ferry riders to and from taverns. A driver steers while multiple riders sit at a bar mounted behind him, each with his or her own pedal-and-chain assembly. The bill would allow drinking on pedal pubs unless a municipality adopts ordinances negating the exception. The Assembly last month passed the bill and the Senate unanimously passed it Tuesday.
