Nobody
was injured in a fire that damaged a Fond du Lac residence last
night. On Wednesday, February 5, 2014,
at 9:05 p.m. Fond du Lac Fire Department
was dispatched to a report of a fire in the attic of the garage/residence
at 799 Country Club Lane. Fire Chief
Pete O'Leary was on scene
first and was able to knock down the initial fire with the use of a fire
extinguisher. There is no damage estimate available and no injuries were
reported. The cause of the fire is
undetermined at this time. The
Fond du Lac Police Department assisted with traffic and scene control. Firefighters
will be canvassing the surrounding area passing out home fire safety
information to all nearby residents.
