The Fond du Lac police department is recommending the Alcohol Licensing Committee deny a liquor license
request for a alcohol establishment. The applicants want to open a night club on West Scott Street. But in a memo to the city manager, police chief Bill Lamb lists several concerns. Chief Lamb says there
is nothing in the applicant’s business plan to address security concerns, both applicants do not have bartending
experience, and perhaps the biggest red flag came during a background
check. One of the applicants stated he has never been convicted of
a crime. But a background check revealed that he had misdemeanor
convictions for possession of cocaine and marijuana.
