Fond du Lac rescue personnel says a new law that relaxes the rules when it comes to administering a powerful heroin antidote will
save help save lives. At a press conference Tuesday assistant fire chief Todd
Janquardt said a new bill is a supportive measure that allows Basic
EmergencyMedical Services to pilot the use of Narcan in the field. Last year the fire department responded to 79 calls where
Narcan was used, 37 for drug overdoses and saved 13 lives with
Narcan. Four people died from a heroin overdose in Fond du lac last
year.
