2-13-14 second person charged in dodge county burglary spree

A second person has been charged in connection with a number of daytime burglaries in Mayville, Columbus, Lomira, and Iron Ridge.  32 year old Nicholas Dambruch is charged with ten counts of party to the crime of burglary as a repeat offender.  Also charged in the burglaries is 21 year old Kassie Gehler of Juneau.  She’s facing 10 counts of party to the crime of burglary.  The pair is accused of breaking into homes during the day and stealing valuables while the homeowners were away.  In December, a resident reported suspicious activity to the Columbus Police Department involving a male and a female.  The caller was able to give a description of the couple and their vehicle to authorities and soon after, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle matching the description.  Dambruch and Gehler were taken into custody.  An initial Dodge County Circuit Court appearance for Dambruch is scheduled for February 24^th.
