11-7-13 republican senator walks out of senate elections committee meeting
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — State Senator Mary Lazich has walked out of a meeting of the Senate Elections Committee midway through a vote to approve Governor Scott Walker's appointee to the state elections board. The Republican Lazich left today's meeting after Democratic Senator Lena Taylor would not abide by her order to stop asking a question of the committee attorney. Lazich returned minutes later and the committee voted 3-2 to recommend former judge Harold Froehlich's appointment to the Government Accountability Board.
