After a 10-year absence, Ripon Medical Center has welcomed its first baby. Aidan
J. Schuster was born on Wednesday, November 13 at 11:55 p.m. to Leah
Paczkowski, of Montello, and Louis Schuster, of Princeton. He weighed
seven pounds and five ounces, and
was 18.5 inches long. Steven Sheppard, DO, a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist with Ripon Medical Center, delivered Aidan J. Schuster. As
the first baby at Ripon Medical Center, Aidan J. Schuster and his
family received a basket full of gifts from Ripon Medical Center’s Women
& Infants Unit staff. “We
are excited that this date has arrived,” says Katherine Vergos, Ripon
Medical Center chief operating officer. “We have assembled a fantastic
team - including Steven Sheppard,
our board-certified gynecologist and obstetrician - that is working
diligently to provide the highest level of obstetrics care. We know that
the Ripon area community has been eager for this important service to
return, and we are glad to have made that a reality.” Dr.
Sheppard joined Ripon Medical Center in June 2013 to help rebuild the
service, and is joined by Alisa Vaughn, APNP, and Cynthia Blaylock,
APNP, pediatric nurse practitioners. As
an obstetrician/gynecologist, Dr. Sheppard provides comprehensive
healthcare services to women of all ages, including pregnancy and
childbirth, diagnosis and treatment
of disorders of the female reproductive system, and management of
perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms. “I
made the decision to join Agnesian HealthCare because I was excited
about helping to rebuild an obstetrics and gynecology program in a
hospital that has not had this service
for some time,” according to Dr. Sheppard. “This is an exciting time
for us, and we are pleased to bring this service to residents in the
Ripon and surrounding communities.” For more information on Obstetric services at Ripon Medical Center, visit agnesian.com or call (920) 748-9128.
