6-6-14 walleye weekend

It’s the official kick-off to the summer season…Walleye Weekend starts Friday and runs through Sunday at Fond du Lac’s Lakeside Park.  Fond du lac Festivals Director Leanne Doyle says the rock group Night Ranger is this year’s  featured performer.  "It is very exciting.  Last year we had a really good turnout for .38 Special.  This is the same genre, the same crowd that's going to come back this year,"  Doyle said.  In conjunction with the festival is the Merc National Walleye fishing tournament…as Mercury Marine celebrates their 75^th anniversary this year.
