A new trial date will be scheduled for a Fond du lac woman charged in the shooting death of her husband. At a hearing Tuesday in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court the attorneys for Eve Nance announced that they would be
withdrawing from the case due to an ongoing medical issue involving one
of the attorneys. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney says the judge will appoint new defense counsel resulting in a rescheduling of a jury trial. Nance was scheduled to go on trial in August on charges of
first degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse. For the third time this year the judge denied a motion by
the defense to have contact with her sister Tina Ewell. Nance is charged in the shooting death of her husband
Timothy Nance at their 10th
Street residence in Fond du Lac last fall. After allegedly killing her husband Nance is accused of placing the body in her car, driving to Milwaukee and dumping the body in a wooded area at the end of a dead
end street. Police
believe Nance killed her husband because he was having an affair and planned to get a divorce.
